# Can I change insurance companies at any time?

Yes. Once you have bound insurance with a new company, call your old insurance company/agent and cancel your policy. They will pro-rate your policy and issue a refund of the remaining premium. When you receive the check, please send the check to Habitat for Humanity via mail to apply to escrow account. This will avoid an escrow shortage the following year.
